The most powerful thing you can do for a student who reached 99% of their target is to refuse to accept it as complete. If that expectation feels uncomfortable, this position isn't the right fit. If it energizes you because you understand that maintaining high standards is how you demonstrate belief in a student's ability to meet them, continue reading.
Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete a full day's worth of academics in approximately two hours using adaptive software. No traditional lectures. No textbooks. Your role covers what technology cannot: developing life skills in students such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange. You'll facilitate interactive workshops, drive students to exceed their learning targets, and cultivate relationships that transform a reserved 4th grader into someone who confidently presents before a room of adults.
This position grows with you. During your first year, you'll manage a small student cohort and become proficient in Alpha's methodology: life skill workshops, motivation coaching, and mastery-based evaluation. Once you demonstrate the ability to guide every student to 100% goal achievement while maintaining satisfaction ratings above 90%, advancement to Lead Guide becomes possible, where you'll mentor a team while remaining directly engaged with students. The highest performers in this role don't just transform individual students; they influence how an entire campus functions.
Traditional schools don't offer this opportunity. If you've been coaching, counseling, or mentoring young people and want to move beyond instructional teaching to focus on genuine development, this is your opportunity.
