Wells Fargo is seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-scale applications. This role involves working across modern technology stacks, with a strong focus on
.NET Core, Microservices, and React
, while also leveraging engineering best practices, cloud-ready design principles, and secure development standards.
In This Role, You Will
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
Strong 7+ years hands-on experience with .NET / .NET Core, C#, Microservices architecture, RESTful services, and design patterns.
Proficiency in React and front-end engineering fundamentals (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
Experience with building scalable, distributed systems using modern architectural practices.
Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, or backend service development (added advantage).
Familiarity with Gen AI tools/techniques, machine learning workflows, or integrating AI-driven components (good to have).
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze complex issues and design effective solutions.
Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments. Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.

Take ownership of assigned modules, components, and end‑to‑end delivery responsibilities.
Perform code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure best practices are consistently applied.
Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, and solution blueprinting.
Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery—Product, QA, Architecture, and Infrastructure.
Ensure timely completion of development, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
Proactively identify technical debt, performance issues, and improvement opportunities.
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the engineering landscape.
Uphold Wells Fargo’s risk, compliance, and security guidelines across all development activities.
