Provide electrical engineering support for sustenance activities across installed medical equipment platforms.
Investigate field issues and failures including complaints using structured problem-solving techniques (RCA, 8D) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Create necessary documentation for complaint reporting.
Drive and implement design changes through Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable medical device standards, including IEC 60601 and related safety requirements.
Review and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and service organizations.
Interface with global engineering teams to resolve technical issues, align design updates, and support product lifecycle activities.
Support design verification and validation (V&V) for engineering changes and product improvements.
Participate in reliability improvement initiatives through failure analysis, FMEA, and design reviews.
Ensure engineering documentation, change-management activities and complaint reports comply with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (BE/BTech) in Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
4–8 years of experience in the medical equipment or healthcare industry.
Knowledge of IEC standards related to medical devices (e.g., IEC 60601).
Hands-on experience with ECR/ECO processes and engineering change management
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn through hands-on experience.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work in cross-functional and global teams.
