Infor is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Infor Hospitality - Restaurant team. This strategic role will lead the design, implementation, and operation of our cloud-native restaurant solutions—including POS, mobile ordering, and Kitchen Display Systems (KDS)—on AWS and other platforms. The Senior DevOps Engineer will drive infrastructure-as-code excellence, security best practices, CI/CD maturity, and operational resilience, while mentoring team members and partnering with development, QA, security, and business leaders.
You will architect scalable cloud environments, establish security hardening standards, champion automation and observability, and foster a culture of DevOps excellence across the restaurant technology ecosystem.
A Day in the Life Typically Includes
* Leading the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and other infrastructure-as-code tools
* Architecting and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, security scanning, deployments, and rollbacks
* Integrating and managing application security scanning tools including Veracode and Cobalt for vulnerability management
* Implementing platform security best practices, security hardening, compliance controls, and incident response protocols
* Partnering with developers, QA, and security teams to ensure robust environments, efficient release management, and secure operations
* Managing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for distributed production environments (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
* Mentoring junior and mid-level DevOps engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving technical excellence
* Troubleshooting complex deployment, infrastructure, and security issues across restaurant solutions
* Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness, high availability, performance, and security posture
* Driving innovation in automation, infrastructure patterns, observability, and cloud-native operations
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* 7+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or cloud platform operations
* 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing infrastructure using Terraform in production environments
* Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) with proven cloud architecture experience
* Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
* Extensive experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including multi-stage deployments and automated testing
* Hands-on experience integrating and managing application security tools such as Veracode and Cobalt for static/dynamic analysis
* Deep understanding of platform security, security hardening, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks
* Programming proficiency (C#, Java or similar languages)
* Advanced scripting capabilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation development
* Strong experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
* Track record with configuration management and version control systems (Git, GitLab)
* Deep understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, security groups, and distributed systems operations
* Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive technical initiatives
* Excellent collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience supporting .NET/C# application environments in production
* Familiarity with restaurant systems (POS, KDS, mobile platforms) or hospitality technology
* Experience with SQL database administration and operations (Microsoft SQL Server or similar)
* Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
* Experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
* Understanding of compliance standards (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GDPR) in cloud environments
* Experience integrating third-party services and APIs
* Contributions to open-source DevOps projects or technical community involvement
* AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)
* Passion for DevOps best practices, continuous improvement, automation excellence, and team mentorship
