We are looking for a highly driven Financial Controller to build and lead the financial control framework for a fast-scaling, multi-location retail business. This role is central to establishing strong financial governance, reporting discipline, and scalable processes to support rapid expansion. You will design and own the finance architecture required to manage a distributed retail network, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
As a key finance leader, you will work closely with senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making, maintain audit readiness, and strengthen financial systems. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on building robust processes that can scale with business growth.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Own and manage end-to-end financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
Design and implement accounting frameworks for retail operations, including store-level profitability, inventory accounting, and franchise/warehouse financials
Build and enforce strong internal financial controls across stores, warehouses, and central operations
Develop and maintain SOPs, audit trails, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and transparency
Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring timely closure of observations and regulatory adherence
Oversee finance operations such as accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and reconciliation processes
Drive process standardization, automation, and efficiency across finance workflows
Strengthen ERP systems, MIS reporting, and data accuracy to support scalable decision-making
Collaborate with leadership on financial planning, governance, and board-level reporting
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain financial discipline across the organization
What Makes You a Great Fit
Strong experience in financial controllership, reporting, and audit management
Solid understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and compliance frameworks
Exposure to retail, FMCG, or multi-location business environments is highly preferred
Proven ability to design and implement scalable financial systems and processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Experience working in high-growth or dynamic environments with evolving business needs
Proficiency in ERP systems, financial tools, and data-driven reporting
High ownership mindset with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
