Description We work on the client-side of iCloud services, building the foundations for a secure and private cloud from device-to-device encrypted storage in the cloud to protected computation. Apple’s commitment to privacy runs deep, and this team is key to extending this commitment to the cloud. This position will involve close collaboration with the CloudKit team, several teams working on server components, as well as Apple’s Privacy teams. This job entails both low-level (C/Objective-C/Swift, libdispatch, POSIX APIs) and system-level skills (synchronization protocols, framework design, IPCs, multi-process performance work, system-wide resource sharing). Reliability is essential, and we’re looking for engineers with a real passion for building complex systems that will seamlessly recover in the event of errors.
