This outcome is driven by AI-based tutoring, mastery-oriented progression, and a fundamental shift away from traditional classroom formats. The performance data is strong. We now require a leader capable of unifying implementation across varied school environments, elevating academic leadership standards, and serving as the authoritative voice for a movement rooted in sound learning science.

This role is not one of theoretical scholarship. It is a leadership assignment. You will take ownership of academic strategy in practice, establish clear expectations, surface gaps in execution, and provide coaching to high-performing teams to achieve measurable results. You will translate our scientific underpinnings into operational rigor and advocate for this model on a global scale.

What You Will Be Doing

• Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivational systems, and application architecture.
• Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to verify that school teams remain aligned, accountable, and effective in delivering outcomes.
• Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
• Ensuring strategic coherence through planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
• Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to advance systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

Director Of Educational Strategy Key Responsibilities Expand and strengthen the established academic model of 2 Hour Learning by ensuring cohesive execution across all school sites, raising leadership standards, and serving as the authoritative public advocate for a movement founded on rigorous scientific evidence and demonstrable outcomes.

Basic Requirements

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
• At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
• Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
• Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
• Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
• Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
