Role Summary
We are looking for a seasoned product marketing professional to drive post-install growth, engagement, and retention across our portfolio of Android apps. The incumbent will sit within the
business team and act as a bridge between growth, product, analytics, and design.
The ideal candidate understands how to grow consumer mobile apps after install by improving onboarding, activation, habit formation, messaging and feature adoption. They should be highly analytical, deeply curious about user behavior and competitors, and comfortable turning insights into testable product and growth initiatives.
This role is highly cross-functional. You'll partner closely with Product Managers on the technology team to define experiments, shape feature roadmaps, evaluate opportunities in specific launcher niches, and improve user outcomes across the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
1. Drive post-install growth across the app lifecycle
- Own key parts of the user journey after install, including onboarding, activation, early retention, engagement, and reactivation
- Identify friction points and drop-offs across the funnel, and recommend initiatives to improve conversion and retention
- Develop hypotheses and testing roadmaps to improve first-time user experience and long-term usage
2. Lead experimentation and optimization
- Design and prioritize A/B tests across onboarding flows, messaging, UI treatments, paywalls or monetization surfaces, and engagement loops
- Work with analytics, product, and engineering teams to define experiment logic, success metrics, and rollout plans
- Interpret test results and translate them into clear recommendations and follow-up actions.
3. Shape product and feature strategy from a market lens
- Conduct competitor research across app categories to identify best practices, whitespace, and growth opportunities
- Bring market, user, and category insights into feature conceptualization and product roadmap discussions
- Contribute ideas for new features, growth loops, user journeys, and new app concepts.
4. Improve messaging and positioning inside the product
- Optimize value proposition communication across onboarding, permissions education, feature education, upsell surfaces, and retention messaging
- Partner with design and product teams to improve copy, visual hierarchy, and user communication
- Ensure product experiences clearly communicate benefits and drive user action.
5. Support monetization testing
- Partner with monetization and product teams to test monetizable surfaces, placements, content modules, and user journeys
- Help evaluate tradeoffs between monetization and user experience
- Contribute to the design of monetization experiments that improve revenue without harming retention or product quality.
6. Build insight-driven operating rhythm
- Maintain a strong understanding of app performance, user behavior, and segment-level opportunities
- Synthesize learnings from analytics, user feedback, market signals, and experiments into actionable business recommendations
- Communicate priorities, test results, and learnings clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6- 10 years of experience in product marketing, growth, lifecycle, app product, or mobile growth roles
- Strong experience working on consumer mobile apps, ideally Android apps, utilities, content apps, or subscription/ad-monetized businesses
- Demonstrated experience with A/B testing, funnel optimization, onboarding improvement, and retention initiatives
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data and making decisions from experiments
- Able to combine market insight + product thinking + execution discipline
- Strong cross-functional collaborator who can influence product, design, analytics, and engineering teams
- Experience managing people and driving thought leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, curious, and hypothesis-driven
