The Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer will have ownership and managing the facilities Mechanical and Process systems for a semiconductor facility.
This person will have ownership and will manage the following tasks:
- Supporting technicians on sustaining operations and troubleshooting for Chillers, CDA, Process Cooling Water, Boilers, SCHW, MTHW, Make Up Air, Exhaust, etc.
- Experience with managing mechanical/process systems at semiconductor facilities 24/7 operation
- Developing maintenance plans for various mechanical and process systems.
- Supporting tool install by managing design and following through completion of installation.
- Managing base build projects from design to working with trades in construction.
- Creating and reviewing P&ID, Schematics, and plan layouts.
- Preparation of plans, schedules and cost estimates
- Preparation of bid documents
- Soliciting bids, conducting job walks, receiving and evaluating bids
- Preparing purchase requests, ROI calculations, and executive summaries
- Coordinating contractors and city inspections
- Preparing punch lists and ensuring contractors complete all work on schedule
- Preparing permit applications and reports as required for compliance with all applicable laws
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of field and design experience.
- Professional Engineering License is a plus but not required
- Current knowledge of energy-efficient approaches for semiconductor fabs, test areas, and office areas
- Understanding of ASHRAE, Mechanical Code, and other jurisdictional supporting codes
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding the English language
- Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in EXCEL, WORD, Power Point, and MS Project
- Must have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
- Must be quality and safety oriented.
- Self starter, able to work with minimal supervision

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $109,600 to $150,700.
- Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
- This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors
- This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
- Benefits for the position includes 10 paid holidays per year, paid vacation starting at 136 hours per year for full-time employees (prorated for part-time employees), and paid sick time that exceeds the requirements of the Washington State Sick Leave law.
