About Chargebee:
Chargebee is a leading provider of billing and monetization solutions, empowering businesses with recurring revenue models to streamline operations, capture actionable insights, and drive growth.
Chargebee is trusted by businesses of all sizes, including Zapier, Freshworks, DeepL, Condé Nast, and Pret A Manger, and is proud to have been consistently recognized by customers as a Leader in Subscription Management on G2.
About the Role:
Chargebee is looking for a Social Media + Community Manager to join our Corporate Marketing & Communications team to shape and amplify our brand voice across platforms, deepen engagement with our community and audiences, and grow our brand’s visibility in the tech and AI ecosystems. This role requires a blend of brand storytelling, strategic execution, message distribution, platform-savviness, and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll do well in this role if your background lies in writing and strategic thinking; you are excited by personally building reach and authentic community online; you have strong opinions on what platforms, formats, and messages work best; and you have a proven track record of developing novel, fun, and strategic ways to resonate with B2B audiences. You will exercise independent judgement and discretion in your role.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Voice & Social Platform Strategy
- Own and evolve Chargebee’s social brand voice, ensuring consistency, distinctiveness, relevance, and business impact across platforms.
- Develop and execute a channel-specific strategy tailored to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and key personas—specifically on LinkedIn and X)—while experimenting with emerging and new-to-us platforms like Substack, Reddit, Instagram, and Bluesky.
- Keep tabs on competitor social strategies, market conversations, and platform changes, and translate these insights into actionable improvements.
Content Planning & Creation
- Lead the creation of high-quality, visually and editorially strong content in multiple formats: written threads, memes, photo carousels, videos, and motion graphics.
- Build and manage a strategic social media calendar that includes product launches, evergreen content, brand narratives, executive voice amplification, and community engagement moments.
- Partner with internal teams (including Content, Design, Product, Product Marketing, Events) and manage lightweight image and video production or editing yourself where needed.
Engagement & Community Building
- Foster engagement and conversation within the extended Chargebee community by replying to comments, DMs, and tagged posts in a timely, brand-aligned way.
- Map the strongest social voices in our market and ensure Chargebee has visibility into—and is included in—the conversations they lead.
- Curate conversations by pulling in SMEs, elevating thought leadership, and highlighting customer voices.
- Tap into real in-market conversations among our ICPs and bring Chargebee into relevant organic conversations where applicable.
- Manage event- and content-specific social strategies, enabling production teams with ready-to-go assets and engagement playbooks.
Measurement & Optimization
- Report on key metrics monthly, using them to tell a story and shape decisions. Move beyond vanity metrics to showcase impact on awareness, perception, share of voice, and conversion.
- Run experiments on formats, timing, and CTA structure to improve KPIs.
- Own the annual lookback and strategy-forward planning.
Enablement & Employee Advocacy
- Make it easy (and fun) for employees to share Chargebee social content and enter the conversation with advocacy tools like Sprout Social and strong internal communications and enablement surrounding our social program.
- Create a company-wide employee social media starter kit and present it at new hire orientations and all-hands.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Leverage AI and creative tools to scale efficiency in copy, scheduling, and content versioning.
- Participate in social communities, webinars, and industry forums to stay current and bring fresh ideas to Chargebee.
- Collaborate closely with SEO, Product Marketing, and Demand Gen to ensure social is plugged into broader content and campaign goals.
- Understand and comply with privacy and other legal requirements associated with marketing and social media.
Must-Haves:
- 4+ (4–6 is ideal) years of experience in a social media or brand content role, ideally within a B2B SaaS, fintech, or AI environment.
- Deep passion for brand storytelling and social-first writing; a builder of voice and narrative, not just posts.
- Strong intuition for what works on different platforms (and why), with a track record of crafting tailored, engaging, impactful content.
- Comfort with basic visual tools (such as Canva, CapCut, Figma) and collaboration with video/design teams.
- Sharp strategic instincts, high creative standards, and obsession with impact (not just output).
- Killer sense of urgency and real desire to be connected with the ecosystem that surrounds us and our customers.
Nice to haves:
- Experience developing social strategy in-house (vs. agency-only) at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or AI firm.
- Past ownership of executive social amplification or employee advocacy programs.
- Familiarity with Sprout Social, Meltwater, Wrike, and AI-assisted marketing tools.
What Success Looks Like:
By month 3
, you’ve refreshed our social calendar, defined platform strategies, and grown weekly engagement.
By month 6
, you’ve launched an employee advocacy toolkit, led social around two product launches, and created the Notion hub.
By year 1
, you’ve delivered the 2026 brand and social strategy document, including measurable social impact, and made Chargebee’s brand voice unmistakable in our space.
