Position Overview Autodesk is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Concurrent Editing team, which builds and maintains a real-time collaboration platform supporting remote, multi-user workflows.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and scaling of core platform capabilities, working closely with experienced engineers to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions. You will help improve system performance, resiliency, and scalability while following established engineering best practices.

The role follows a hybrid work model and reports to a manager based in Pune.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable services for a real-time collaboration platform
• Contribute to technical design and architecture under guidance from senior engineers
• Debug, optimize, and improve distributed systems for performance and reliability
• Deliver high-quality features iteratively with a strong focus on customer needs
• Participate in code and design reviews, following established engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while continuously learning and sharing knowledge

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience designing and building large-scale, backend distributed systems in cloud environments
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with a focus on writing high-quality, maintainable, and testable code
• Deep experience with AWS, including cloud-native services, infrastructure-as-code, containers, and automation (e.g., Terraform, CI/CD)
• Solid understanding of distributed system fundamentals, NoSQL databases, and non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and resiliency
• Proven ability to operate effectively in Agile environments, contribute to technical design discussions, and make sound, data-driven engineering decisions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a growth mindset and passion for mentoring, learning, and solving complex problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native applications using TypeScript/JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Step Functions, IAM, EC2, and CloudWatch
• Experience with containerized and orchestrated environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
• Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Spinnaker
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Chef, or Ansible
• Exposure to advanced cloud automation, observability, or platform-level tooling
