Job Location - Chakan , Pune
This exciting role offers a strong opportunity for an experienced Import & Export Operations professional. You will be at the core of DI Systems, responsible for executing import and export operation plans in the ERP system to ensure on‑time material availability from ports to the production line. In this role, you will also drive continuous improvement by initiating and supporting projects aimed at enhancing the overall import and export process. Heath Systems plays a critical role within Philips, delivering advanced solutions that help healthcare professionals meet the needs of patients worldwide.
Your Role
Import & Export Operations
- Plan and implement import/export strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and manage shipping documents in SAP or other systems to support timely outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents to ensure on‑time clearances and cost‑effective transportation solutions.
- Interface with shipping lines and freight forwarders for vessel selection, rate negotiation, and damage‑free transit.
- Handle preparation and maintenance of all import/export documents in line with governing rules and regulations.
- Manage export and merchant trade activities, ensuring smooth supply chain coordination.
- Experienced in handling break‑bulk, project cargo, and dangerous goods.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Foster a work environment that continuously improves employee Health & Safety, including identifying and managing occupational risks and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Ensure adherence to local, country, and international laws governing movement of products, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain knowledge of import/export accounting requirements and audit compliance.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Planning, Warehouse/Factory Operations, Customer Service, and Sales to ensure effective delivery execution and stakeholder visibility.
- Liaise with internal and external partners—including customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors—to ensure IMPEX operational excellence.
SAP Cadence
- Update / Maintain import export related Master data in SAP
Compliance
- Eway Bill Processing
- DG Goods Handling and 360 Reporting
- Correct HSN declared in customs
- Daily 6s Review and Maintenance
- Participate in internal & external audit meet the compliance requirement
- Actively participate & motivate team for Kaizen initiative
- FEMA documentation part for non-confirming material
- No. Critical finding in ISO , EMS , EHS , PH & FDA audits
You are a part of
the Order-To-Cash process entails all the activities from receipt of customer order to delivery at hospital site. Within the Order-To-Cash process there are 5 key activities handled by 5 teams, namely: S&OP/Order desk, Planning & Execution Control, NPI Supply Chain Management, Operational Procurement and Physical Distribution. You will be part of the warehousing & Logistics team managing a team of more than 5 contract workers.
You Are The Right Fit If You Have
- Education & Experience - Bachelor’s degree with 3–6 years of experience in import and export operations, preferably within the medical devices or healthcare industry.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management - Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills; able to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.
- Technical Competencies - Demonstrated proficiency in Master Data Management (MDM) and stakeholder coordination to ensure smooth operational execution.
- Behavioral Strengths - You bring a customer‑focused mindset, work well in teams, and show a proactive, make‑it‑happen attitude. You are flexible, persistent, empathetic, and skilled at building bridges across organizational levels.
- Language Skills - Able to communicate fluently and confidently in English, both verbally and in writing, across various organizational levels.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
