Job Description Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants, and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfers, person-to-micro-business transfers (e.g., payouts to gig economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g., insurance claim disbursements), and more. The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion of payment volume globally.
We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about building innovative payment solutions, delivering exceptional client experiences, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies like APIs and Generative AI. This role is central to Visa’s strategy to deliver world-class Visa Direct products to market. You will work in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and collaborating across global teams to create products that redefine money movement.
Essential Functions

Qualifications Basic Qualifications 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD Strong analytical skills with familiarity in payment systems (card networks, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, digital wallets). Proven ability to deliver exceptional client experiences through usability, integration support, and adoption strategies. Expertise in API design and developer experience, including REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger, and OAuth 2.0. Familiarity with Generative AI tools and their application in product workflows. Understanding of cloud architecture (Azure/AWS), microservices, and integration patterns. Ability to analyze product performance metrics, client usage data, and market trends to inform roadmap decisions. Familiarity with security best practices for APIs and payment systems. Strong ability to align cross-functional teams and influence without authority. Experience managing products end-to-end: ideation, MVP, launch, scaling, and sunsetting. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and pivot strategies based on new information or market shifts. Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences and strong documentation skills, including PowerPoint. Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering for clients.
