Financial Analyst (Contract)

Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented financial analyst to join a dynamic team supporting the Consumer Sales organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and data analytics, providing critical financial guidance and insights across major product lines and first-party devices. The successful candidate will play a key role in building a new analytics database by ingesting data from multiple third-party sources and creating standardized views that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across global markets. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in data visualization tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product groups, marketing, go-to-market teams, and various finance departments. The position offers full remote flexibility with standard business hours and strong potential for extension.
Job Responsibilities
- Assemble and maintain complex spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to illustrate technical reports and financial analyses
- Source and clean base data for SKU analysis using multiple data sources and reporting dashboards
- Standardize input data for critical specifications including product families, memory, storage, screen size, and processors
- Manually scrape and map pricing data using web sources and open brand information for top SKUs by volume
- Map silicon family and generation data using web sources and processor details in base datasets
- Coordinate and consolidate data sets across several finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Review data quality and identify inconsistencies in third-party data sources, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
- Drive overall database cleanup initiatives to enable report automation
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards for SKU analysis and global market insights in partnership with data engineering teams
- Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions
- Interpret data affecting investment programs, including price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related financial discipline required; advanced degree in a financial discipline preferred
- 2-4 years of financial and/or accounting experience required
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and analytics solutions
- Previous experience working at the intersection of finance and data analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data manipulation and analysis
- Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard creation and data visualization
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and understand database structures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple projects
- Strong analytical skills to identify business trends and project future revenues and expenses
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data reporting
- Understanding of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

- Pay Range*: $35 - $39.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
