What You Will Be Doing

• Conducting focused, efficient reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency
• Creating personalized motivational experiences using gamified literacy benchmarks
• Reviewing student performance data to adjust instruction and identify actionable patterns
• Partnering with engineers to assess and improve AI literacy platforms based on real classroom outcomes
• Building scalable, AI-enhanced materials that help early elementary students reach grade-level reading proficiency

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Teaching 90-minute classes or adhering to traditional curriculum—students engage with academic subjects through AI-adaptive apps

Basic Requirements Reading Teacher key responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master's degree in reading instruction
• At least 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
• Capable of assessing reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without relying on pre-written curricula
• Comfortable with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond to student behaviors observed within them
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Plano, TX; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
