DSP (Finance) China TA , Associate , Institutional Equity Division

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Trading Assistant with less than 3 years' experience to join our Delta One Trading desk. The successful candidate will support traders in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate trade execution, risk monitoring, and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to equity derivatives, index arbitrage, and other Delta One strategies in a fast-paced trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade Support & Execution:

• Assist traders with booking and monitoring trades across multiple markets and products.
• Communicate with sales team to book daily swap, forward and option trades.
• Ensure timely and accurate trade capture in internal systems.

• Risk & Position Management:

• Monitor positions, P&L, and risk metrics throughout the trading day.
• Communicate with control function to clear breaks on pnl between systems
• Reconcile discrepancies between internal systems and external counterparties.

• Operational Coordination:

• Liaise with middle office, operations, and compliance teams to resolve trade breaks and settlement issues.
• Liaise with cash payment team to make sure forward settlement is good on value date
• Maintain strong communication with brokers and counterparties.

• Data & Reporting:

• Prepare daily reports on positions, risk exposure, and market activity.
• Support traders with ad-hoc analysis and market research.
• Support trading team with historical data analysis on pnl and attribution

• Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of VBA or Python is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of equity markets and derivatives; Delta One experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in trading support or operations within an investment bank or hedge fund.
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
• Familiar with delta one trading products and swap bookings
