We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and service-oriented professional to join our team as a Facilities Manager to act as the primary liaison for workplace operations and services, ensuring an exceptional and seamless workplace experience.
Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Manager to become a central figure in enabling and supporting exceptional experiences, in customer facing spaces within our primary building. You will be the go-to expert for operational excellence across these unique environments, ensuring every collaboration has the seamless facilities support it needs to succeed. While focused on this key location, this role is also an integral part of a wider team, providing essential facilities support to other Apple buildings as needed. Partnering closely with various cross-functional teams, you'll manage sophisticated facilities processes, communicate vital updates, and implement building-wide standards that elevate the workplace experience for all occupants, particularly those driving our creative initiatives. This role reports to the UK Site Lead.
Responsibilities
- Manage the facilities aspects of dynamic space configurations, including furniture, equipment placement, and layouts, to ensure optimal functionality and visual appeal for diverse event needs.
- Coordinate complex facilities-related relocations, reconfigurations, and occupancy changes across event, lab, and office environments, minimizing disruption and maximizing efficiency.
- Ensure visual and functional consistency across all managed spaces.
- Serve as the primary facilities resource and central point of contact for employees, and building operations in assigned locations.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when operational needs or event support requires.
- Proactively partner with stakeholders to deeply understand their facilities requirements, ensuring the building environment and services are optimally prepared for all events, and special projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal Places teams (e.g., Space Planning, Project Management, EH&S) to deliver integrated facilities solutions.
- Cultivate and maintain exceptional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, adeptly managing diverse needs and competing priorities, and fostering an inclusive environment by respecting differences and demonstrating curiosity to learn.
- Communicate facility updates, event-related information (from a facilities perspective), and potential disruptions clearly and proactively to occupants.
- Champion the needs of our occupants, consistently ensuring an outstanding workplace experience and proactively advocating for continuous service enhancements.
- Leverage Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), service request platforms, and productivity software (e.g., MS Office, iWork) to efficiently track, manage, and report on facilities services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in workplace management or facilities operations, ideally within a dynamic multinational environment.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with external contractors and vendors.
- Proficiency with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), service request platforms, and productivity software (e.g., MS Office, iWork, and cloud collaboration tools).
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of an organization, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience successfully managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent time-management capabilities.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges.
