The best way to support a teenager launching a business is to hold them to a high bar. You understand that rigorous standards aren't about applying pressure—they signal your belief in what the student can achieve. If this resonates, continue reading.
You'll work with high school students who are building genuine businesses with $1M upside potential. These aren't classroom exercises or mock ventures. Expect to dedicate 60-65% of your week to 1:1 coaching: pinpointing where each founder gets stuck, surfacing the most impactful next step, and keeping them accountable to a concrete plan. The remaining 35-40% divides between overseeing academics and running workshops designed to build real skills, not just theory.
This isn't a conventional teaching position. You're responsible for holistic student outcomes—venture traction, academic performance, and personal development together. You'll rely on dashboards, progress reports, and academic metrics to coach with data-driven clarity rather than gut feel. If a student's grades start slipping, you step in proactively. If a business flatlines, you surface the actual issue, not the easier conversation.
You'll begin by understanding each student's company, capabilities, and friction points. Within a few months, you become the voice they trust when you challenge them—because you've operated in the real world yourself. The payoff is seeing a 16-year-old arrive with a concept and leave with a live business, the habits to sustain it, and academics that preserve future options.
If you've been searching for a position where your operational background directly influences emerging founders, submit your application. If you require structured lesson plans, predictable routines, or environments where effort alone is rewarded, this role isn't the right fit.
