Job Description: Deputy Director - Myntra Ads (Tail brands) Position Summary

We are seeking a visionary commercial leader to spearhead the Ad Sales for our rapidly growing ecosystem of D2C, mid-sized, and unbranded small sellers. This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Operations.

The ideal candidate will move beyond traditional relationship management to build a scalable, tech-enabled revenue engine. You will own the ads sales for the "Long Tail" portfolio, driving ad adoption, optimizing media efficiency, and leveraging automation to maximize lifetime value across thousands of brands.

Key Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership & Commercial Strategy
• Own and deliver aggressive Ads Sales revenue targets across the entire torso, tail and emerging brand portfolio.
• Develop segmented sales strategies to increase wallet share and retention across a high-volume, fragmented seller base.
• Work with multiple internal & external stakeholders to drive ads sales across multiple portfolios
• Identify and grow "diamond in the rough" brands for graduation into higher service tiers.
• Product Roadmap & AdTech Innovation
• Act as the "Voice of the Seller" to the Product initiatives, defining the roadmap for CY’26 and beyond.
• Champion features that simplify the ad-buying process (Self-Serve capabilities) and enhance targeting options to improve ROAS for smaller sellers.
• Drive the adoption of analytics & product tools that provide sellers with actionable insights on their media investment.
• Ecosystem & Channel Development
• Build and scale an Agency-Led Partner Ecosystem to accelerate ads adoption where direct sales is not cost-efficient.
• Design and execute focused programs/incentives to drive first-time adoption among dormant sellers

Must-Have Skill Sets & Competencies

To succeed in this role, the candidate must demonstrate mastery in the following areas:

Functional Competencies

• Mass-Scale Portfolio Management: Proven ability to manage a "Long Tail" portfolio (thousands of clients) rather than just a few key accounts. Must understand the mechanics of scaling revenue through tech rather than headcount.
• AdTech Fluency: Deep technical understanding of performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPC, CTR, ROAS) and the ability to translate these into product requirements.
• Channel Sales Management: Skilled in setting up and managing indirect sales channels, specifically agency partnerships or reseller networks.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Expert in using data visualization and insight tools to segment seller bases and predict churn.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Ability to lead and align diverse teams (Sales, Ops, Product) toward a single commercial goal without direct authority over all functions.
• Innovation Mindset: A track record of piloting new technologies (AI, Automation) to solve traditional business problems.
• Agility: Ability to pivot strategies quickly in a dynamic e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in E-commerce Monetization, Digital Ad Sales, or SaaS Sales Leadership.
• Education: MBA from a top-tier institute preferred.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce/HubSpot), AdTech platforms, and Business Intelligence tools (Tableau/PowerBI).
