Team Leader – Internal Audit (KYC)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to lead our
Internal Audit team focused on VKYC
(Video KYC) processes. The role involves overseeing a team of
40–50 VKYC Auditors
, ensuring end-to-end quality checks of customer verifications, adherence to regulatory norms, and strengthening the internal control environment. The ideal candidate should have strong KYC knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and compliance-driven setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage
our VKYC auditors ensuring adherence to audit quality benchmarks.
- Monitor and ensure
strict compliance with RBI guidelines
, internal policies, and KYC regulatory standards.
- Review audit findings, identify trends, and ensure closure of audit gaps
by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct
regular training and knowledge enhancement sessions
to upskill auditors and maintain high-quality audit standards.
- Define and monitor
daily audit targets, productivity metrics, and quality scores
; initiate corrective actions where needed.
- Work closely with the
first-line VKYC operations team
to provide timely feedback and reduce repeat errors.
- Maintain
audit logs, MIS reports
, and dashboards for internal tracking and regulatory review.
- Act as the
point of contact during internal and external audits
, ensuring smooth coordination and accurate documentation.
- Continuously
identify process improvement areas
and implement automation/efficiency solutions in audit workflows.
- Provide
regular reporting and insights
to senior leadership on team performance, audit health, and compliance risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any stream. Preference for candidates with backgrounds in Commerce, Finance, or Law.
- 2+ years of experience in KYC/Internal Audit
, with at least 1 year in team management or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of
Video KYC guidelines, risk control measures, and regulatory standards
.
- Proven ability to
analyze data, identify red flags, and drive decisions based on compliance logic
.
- Excellent people management, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in
MS Excel
, audit tools, and basic understanding of dashboards or BI platforms.
