When a student reaches 99% of their target, the most meaningful support you can offer is to insist they complete the final 1%. If this expectation feels too demanding, this position will not suit you. If it resonates because you understand that maintaining high standards demonstrates your belief in a student's capability, continue reading.
Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete a full day's worth of academic content in approximately two hours using adaptive software. There are no lectures or textbooks. Your focus is what technology cannot replicate: developing life skills in K-8 students such as public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange. You will spend half your time facilitating hands-on workshops guided by structured frameworks and narrative techniques. The remaining time is dedicated to individual and small-group sessions where you analyze student progress through Coachbot analytics from adaptive learning platforms and drive them toward achieving 100% of weekly objectives. Mastery is demonstrated through Test2Pass assessments rather than participation-based grading.
During your first year, you will manage a student cohort and become proficient in Alpha's methodology: life skill workshops, motivational coaching, and mastery-based evaluation. Once you consistently hold students accountable to 100% goal completion while maintaining satisfaction ratings above 90%, advancement opportunities to Lead Guide become available—coaching fellow Guides while remaining directly engaged with students. Top performers in this role transform not only individual student outcomes but also influence campus-wide operational standards.
If your background includes years of coaching, counseling, or mentoring youth and you have wanted to eliminate traditional instruction in favor of genuine developmental work, this represents that opportunity.
