About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Product Management Director for the Consumer Data Products team. The team is responsible for defining and executing the Consumer data product strategy, delivering data products supporting analytics and regulatory needs across Consumer lines of business while driving Cloud migration and modernization.
This role will report to the head of Consumer Data Products and lead the Consumer Data Platforms team with end-to-end accountability for strategy, ensuring modernization, and scalable data capabilities across Consumer Banking and Lending data applications.
In This Role, You Will
This leader will set platform strategy and ensure disciplined execution and governance to support Consumer data capabilities, reliability, and long-term scalability.
Strategy and Change Management
- Define Consumer Banking and Lending data strategy, including governance and operating models enabling scalable, reliable, and compliant data platforms
- Lead Consumer Data Product intake and change management across platforms and products, aligning business, risk, and technology stakeholders to prioritize demand and manage change effectively
- Identify and drive cross-domain data enablement strategies to meet governance, risk, and regulatory standards while maximizing reuse and scale
People and Resource Leadership
- Demonstrate executive presence by influencing senior leaders, clearly communicating strategy, tradeoffs and outcomes, and representing data initiatives in enterprise forums Lead and coordinate cross-functional, globally distributed teams, to ensure effective delivery, alignment, and operating model maturity Build and sustain a culture of talent development aligned to business strategy and execution priorities Manage people and financial resources to meet commitments and ensure alignment to strategic objectives
Product Management
- Lead data product teams delivering common data platform capabilities (data quality, metadata, testing), driving standardization, automation, and controls to ensure trusted data
- Define and execute the vision and implementation strategy for platform services, aligned to the broader enterprise data product strategy
- Make strategic decisions to resolve complex, higher-risk issues, shaping policies and procedures enabling consistent data capabilities across platforms
People and Resource Leadership
- Demonstrate executive presence by influencing senior leaders, clearly communicating strategy, tradeoffs and outcomes, and representing data initiatives in enterprise forums
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional, globally distributed teams, to ensure effective delivery, alignment, and operating model maturity
- Build and sustain a culture of talent development aligned to business strategy and execution priorities
- Manage people and financial resources to meet commitments and ensure alignment to strategic objectives
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of data product or data management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Builder Mindset: Demonstrated ability to build and scale data platforms, including establishing clear ownership models, operational standards, and governance enabling reliability and reuse
- Execution Oriented: Proven track record of translating platform strategy into delivered outcomes to drive modernization, migration, and stabilization initiatives through disciplined execution and cross-functional partnership
- Stakeholder Savvy: Comfortable partnering with engineering, product, enterprise, and senior leadership to align priorities, surface tradeoffs, and communicate value clearly across audience
- Platform Acumen: Proven experience owning enterprise data platforms with accountability for data quality, metadata, and testing capabilities, including governance, controls, and validation practices that ensure reliable, compliant, and trusted data for analytics and business use
- Exceptional leadership with ability to influence including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
- Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
- 7+ years of experience with leading cloud business transformations
- 7+ years of experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- This position will require onsite presence at one of the locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range:
Minneapolis, MN Pay Range $1185,000.00 - $300,000.00
- May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentive awards
- Actual salary is determined by location, experience and qualifications of the job
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
