The Role Test Engineering is a results-oriented team focused on cost, quality, and time-to-market to ensure microprocessors are delivered efficiently to customers. Pre-silicon responsibilities include comprehending product features, crafting characterization test plans, identifying gaps in test coverage, and developing both software and hardware infrastructures necessary for plan execution. This role demands close collaboration with Design and Platform Engineering teams and offers opportunities to provide feedback for future test enhancements. Post-silicon duties involve microprocessor debugging, analysis, and execution of characterization plans, addressing silicon performance, yield, manufacturing processes, and device marginalities. The Test Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes from debug and margin analysis activities and contribute datasheet specifications while driving continuous improvements in yield.
