Solution Architect/Solution Engineer – Azure (Energy & Data Platforms)

**Position Overview

:**

We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect / Solution Engineer to own the end-to-end technical design and evolution of a mission-critical energy data platform. This role is embedded within the Business Solution Delivery (BSD) organization at an Energy client and partners closely with business stakeholders, platform teams, and external vendors.

The initial focus is a Building Energy Usage platform (BEUP) built on Microsoft Azure, integrating large-scale utility data sourced from C3 AI. The platform is entering a multi-year redesign (BEUP 3.0), including data-model evolution, architectural modernization, and long-term scalability.

This is a builder-architect hybrid role: equal parts architecture, solution design, stakeholder navigation, and (when needed) hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture
• Design and evolve Azure-based applications (.NET, C#, APIs)
• Lead BEUP 3.0 architecture and data model redesign
• Produce architecture diagrams, data models, API specs
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support development through implementation
• Navigate stakeholder and vendor coordination

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years solution architecture / engineering experience
• Strong Azure and .NET background
• Experience with large-scale data platforms
• Proven delivery from concept to implementation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Have

• Utility or energy domain experience
• Familiarity with C3 AI
• Experience with analytics or customer-facing platforms

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $140,000 - $215,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
