As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL in Woodland, CA, you will play a critical role in supporting operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities, including specialized equipment in Greenhouses. What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and components
Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations
Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, replace lighting and ballasts, and clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts
Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary and comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas while recognizing danger and safety hazards
Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws, and complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
Update work order status in real time using our CMMS system and escalate problems or issues to customers and managers in a timely manner
Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and attend work and safety meetings as required
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, HVAC systems, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to read and understand a one line/ladder diagram
Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate a motor vehicle
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., climb a 30-foot ladder, and perform frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead
Strong customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to read and write reports clearly and thoroughly and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Green House maintenance experience
EPA Universal certification
Experience working on roofs of buildings and performing overhead work safely while standing on a ladder
Ability to work well in a team or independently
Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and/or visual)
Team player with reliable work ethic and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace
Safety-minded approach to all tasks
