Administer, configure, and maintain Windows servers and related services in production and non-production environments.
Perform user, group, and permissions management, ensuring secure access control and adherence to organizational policies.
Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users.
Apply OS patches, security updates, and firmware upgrades, following change management processes aligned with ITIL practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Windows servers, Active Directory, and related infrastructure components within agreed SLAs.
Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures for Windows-based systems, regularly testing and documenting recovery plans.
Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, standard operating procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.
Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to support deployments, integrations, and environment changes.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during planned maintenance windows and critical incidents.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and standardization of Windows administration tasks. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Windows Administrator managing medium to large-scale environments.
Strong experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Windows Server operating systems.
Solid understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and basic networking concepts.
Proven experience in incident, problem, and change handling within structured ITIL-based processes.
Experience with system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning for Windows servers.
Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation and operational runbooks.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
