You believe that lowering expectations is the least kind thing you can do for a student. Your achievements place you among an elite few: perhaps you've excelled in top-tier athletics, graduated with distinction from a highly selective university, worked at a prestigious firm, or launched and scaled your own venture. Now consider channeling that level of rigor into the lives of K-12 students who have never encountered someone with your credentials—someone willing to hold them to standards they never imagined they could meet. If the idea of maintaining elite expectations feels too demanding, this role is not for you.
Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction to enable students to complete their core academic work in roughly two hours each day. The remainder of their time is dedicated to life skills, passion projects, and meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than basic oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal track record establishes the benchmark: someone capable of setting cultural tone, navigating student resistance, and coaching through distraction and uncertainty.
Your role is not instructional. It is to coach, challenge, and apply the same exacting standards to students that you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time will be spent conducting direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and defines stretch goals. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for competency development, not engagement for its own sake. The final twenty percent is devoted to morning tone-setting: focused openings that cultivate a campus culture where mediocrity is unacceptable.
This trajectory prioritizes depth over advancement. You'll begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the person students allow to push them beyond self-imposed limits. The payoff is not a title change. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to adults in May.
If you're searching for a way to make your elite background matter beyond your own credentials, submit your application now.
