About the Role:

Promo Writers are responsible for crafting short, binge-worthy, emotionally compelling copy across promos, ads, push notifications, trailers, and show descriptions designed to drive viewership, installs, and retention. They work cross-functionally with creative, content, marketing, and product/tech teams to brainstorm ideas, shape campaign concepts, and bring bold narratives to life. Leveraging proven copy frameworks, performance data, and AI tools, they deliver multiple high-quality scripts at speed while maintaining a consistent brand voice across platforms.

What you’ll do:

• Conceptualize & script engaging promos, short-form ads, in-app notifications and marketing creatives to drive listener acquisition and retention
• Collaborate with creative, content teams to develop campaign ideas for new and ongoing shows
• Write across multiple genres and formats (audio, video, social, push, banners) within tight time/word limits
• Leverage generative AI tools to enhance copy variations and storytelling speed
• Analyse promo performance (CTR, CPI, listen-through rates) and iterate on scripts to improve metrics
• Maintain Pocket FM’s brand voice: conversational, emotional, Hinglish/Hindi accessible, cliffhanger-driven

What We Need:

• 2+ years’ experience in OTT, TV, film production, or digital content (writing-focused roles preferred)
• Strong scriptwriting and storytelling skills with proven promo/ad samples
• Familiarity with post-production workflows (editing, sound; VFX basics preferred)
• Exposure to shoot planning and execution (valuable but not core to role)
• Understanding of Generative AI tools (basic to intermediate)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
