Senior Associate -Siemens Financial Services, Inc. Siemens Financial Services, Inc. (SFS, Inc.) is looking for an Associate / Senior Associate with experience focused on debt capital markets / investment banking for the opportunity to work on the Project Finance team covering the Distributed Energy / Generation and Power & Renewables areas of the energy sector. You will work with SFS personnel to diligence investment opportunities and interface with financial Sponsors on the debt financing of various technologies including distributed generation, energy efficiency, solar, wind, battery, and thermal power generation projects within the Americas.

The Associate / Senior Associate is located in Iselin, NJ and offers a hybrid work arrangement. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

be directly involved in transaction analysis, structuring, and the risk approval process for energy sector investment opportunities with typical hold positions of $25-$100 million
prepare, analyze, and sensitize financial models for investment presentations
assist with transaction due diligence, structuring and negotiation of legal documentation
research financial Sponsors, energy markets, industries, and off-takers
develop credit, negotiation, and comparative risk analysis skills
interface with senior management, financial Sponsors and assist on special projects

Responsibilities / Requirements include:

Strong analytical skills and a general understanding / knowledge of investment banking / debt capital markets.
Basic understanding of the energy sector, including:

Distributed Power Generation / Energy Efficiency Projects
Renewable Power Generation
Power Transmission and Distribution
Thermal Power Generation

Attend Bank Meetings for prospective transactions and participate in deal negotiation / structuring / due diligence review / and investment submittal process by assisting the Director / Senior Risk Managers with obtaining necessary diligence materials for Investment Presentations to Investment Committees and other appropriate underwriting documents;
Strong Excel-based cash flow modeling skills, including the ability to appropriately sensitize models;
Strong risk management orientation / background, including credit training and familiarity with transaction due diligence process and risk acceptance criteria;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Interface effectively with the Deal Execution Team, which includes, Originations, Risk, Legal and Business Development personnel;
Prepare and participate in Investment Committee presentations;
Proficiency with various computer hardware and software applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Qualifications: As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will have 3 to 5 years’ experience in debt capital markets / investment banking or in the energy sector.

BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or other quantitative subject;
Strong analytical skills;
Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills;
Detail-oriented and possess solid organizational skills;
Ability to interact well with others in a team environment;
Ability to operate in a high volume, time pressured environment while maintaining a positive focus;
High degree of willingness to learn, flexibility, energy, and initiative.

The pay range for this position is as follows: Associate level: $82,538- $141,494 with a 35% target bonus. Senior Level: $100,603- $172, 462 with a 40% target bonus. PLEASE NOTE: This position is posted across two job levels .We will consider candidates whose experience aligns with either level.
