Role Summary Help build and improve secure, reliable, and automated cloud infrastructure that supports important business and engineering outcomes at athenahealth. This role is based in Bangalore - Whitefield, India and follows a hybrid work model. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff focused on Azure, you will contribute to infrastructure automation, provisioning, configuration, and operational improvements across cloud environments, while partnering with engineers and technical operations teams to strengthen platform reliability and efficiency. This role is well suited for someone early in their career who is building hands-on experience with Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and scripting in a production environment. This person will report to the Manager Engineering - Tech Ops .
Team Summary We are a team of engineers focused on reliability, automation, and scalability in a cloud-native environment. We work in an agile-based framework that helps us stay aligned to the highest-impact business and technical priorities, and we continuously evaluate where automation and platform improvements can create meaningful value. Our team supports systems across both private and public cloud environments, using data and operational insights to guide decisions on architecture, performance, cost, and resiliency.
We spend our time improving the systems and tools that help engineering teams move efficiently and safely. That includes automating manual processes, standardizing infrastructure patterns, improving observability, and supporting secure, repeatable deployments. We work closely with peers across engineering and operations, share knowledge openly, and look for practical ways to simplify complex infrastructure challenges so teams can focus on delivering value.
