2 Hour Learning has developed a model in which students achieve learning outcomes at twice the speed within just two hours per day. This is driven by AI-powered tutoring, mastery-based progression, and a fundamental rethinking of traditional classroom formats. The performance data is strong. We now require a leader who can bring coherence to execution across varied school environments, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the authoritative public voice for a movement rooted in evidence-based learning science.

This is not a position for theoretical exploration. It is an operational leadership mandate. You will take ownership of academic strategy implementation, establish clear performance benchmarks, surface execution shortfalls, and develop high-performing teams to deliver measurable results. You will convert our scientific foundation into operational rigor and advocate for this model on the global stage.

What You Will Be Doing

Developing academic frameworks that bridge learning science with actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational systems, and application architecture.
Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams maintain alignment, accountability, and delivery of outcomes.
Integrating insights from data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact obstacles to learning acceleration and recommend targeted interventions.
Ensuring strategic coherence through planning processes, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone accountability to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile settings, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to advance systemic transformation in global education thinking.

Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational implementation.
Transferring accountability for performance to mid-level managers or external consultants.
Depending on institutional reputation or theoretical arguments to convince skeptical audiences.

Director Of Educational Strategy Key Responsibilities Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across school sites, raising leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement founded on rigorous scientific evidence and demonstrated results.

Basic Requirements

Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
