Position: HW Commodity Specialist II

Location: San Francisco, CA

Multiple Positions Available

• Manage supply or purchasing activities, which may include managing supplier relationships and performance; resolving vendor issues; or tracking, analyzing and reconciling purchase orders and requisitions;
• Engage in forecasting, demand planning, material/supply/inventory planning, and/or capacity planning to deliver supply globally with a high degree of predictability;
• Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess; and
• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that benefit Amazon.
• Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance.
• Domestic travel up to 10% to perform role responsibilities may be required

Basic Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field and 3 years of experience in job offered or a supply chain management related occupation.

Experience Must Include

• 3 years of experience in negotiating costs, managing production, and clear-to-build processes.
• 2 years of experience managing EMS Providers
• 2 years of experience in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems and data analytics tools.

The pay range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $87,400- $153,000 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
