About the Role
The Director, Platform Solutions sits at the intersection of partnerships and platform, responsible for advancing Media.net’s strategic ecosystem relationships through a combination of technical expertise, market insight, and cross-functional leadership. This role focuses on enabling and scaling partnerships that shape Media.net’s buy-side roadmap, expand our solution suite, and strengthen our position across the programmatic ecosystem.
This role works closely with Platform Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams, as well as senior stakeholders across DSPs, agencies, data providers, identity and measurement partners, and other strategic ecosystem players. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing APIs and OpenRTB as they are driving partnership alignment, defining joint roadmaps, and operationalizing technically complex partner relationships.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships
- Own solution-level relationships for a portfolio of strategic ecosystem partners, including data, identity, measurement, and technology providers
- Act as a technical and strategic counterpart in partner conversations, helping define integration strategies, joint roadmaps, and value propositions
- Support senior partnership leadership in structuring, launching, and expanding high-impact ecosystem initiatives
Buy-Side & Platform Roadmap Influence
- Translate partner capabilities, market trends, and ecosystem dynamics into actionable inputs for Product and Engineering teams
- Contribute directly to roadmap prioritization across buy-side activation, OpenRTB enhancements, identity, measurement, and signal enablement
- Identify opportunities to standardize, productize, or scale bespoke partner solutions into repeatable platform capabilities
- Partner closely with agencies and DSPs to support deal-based activation, including curated deal IDs, PMP workflows, targeting logic, and buying mechanics
Technical Partnership Enablement
- Lead and guide complex partner integrations, ensuring technical feasibility, scalability, and alignment with Media.net’s platform strategy
- Serve as an escalation point for advanced technical or integration challenges, collaborating with Engineering to drive resolution
- Ensure partner solutions are well documented, repeatable, and positioned for long-term growth
- Act as a hands-on technical expert for agency and DSP deal troubleshooting, including deal ID setup, bid eligibility issues, delivery discrepancies, and own escalation management for complex deal-related issues, coordinating across Engineering, Product, Partnerships, and external partners to drive timely resolution
Cross-Functional Leadership & Enablement
- Work closely with Platform Partnerships, Account, and Sales teams to support strategic growth opportunities and ecosystem expansion
- Educate internal teams by sharing technical insights, partnership best practices, and ecosystem knowledge
- Help elevate internal fluency around ecosystem partners, market standards, and evolving buyer expectations
- Provide technical expertise to sales and account teams during agency conversations, pitches, and live campaign education
Who You Are
- An experienced, partnerships-oriented professional with strong technical fluency in the programmatic advertising ecosystem
- Comfortable owning complex, cross-company initiatives and influencing outcomes through strong communication and trust
- Able to synthesize technical detail and partner input into clear, strategic recommendations
- Confident operating across strategy, partnerships, and technical execution
- Curious, thoughtful, and pragmatic when navigating evolving market dynamics and partner needs
- Motivated by building durable ecosystem relationships that drive long-term platform differentiation
- Deeply familiar with agency buying workflows, including PMP and curated deal IDs, DSP activation mechanics, and troubleshooting delivery or targeting issues
- Comfortable serving as a technical escalation point with agencies and DSPs, able to debug issues, explain root causes, and drive solutions across teams
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, platform partnerships, or solutions roles
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, OpenRTB, and buy-side activation workflows
- Experience working with APIs and technical integration processes
- Familiarity with ecosystem partners such as data providers, identity solutions, measurement platforms, or technology vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior technical and business stakeholders
- Experience mentoring others or leading initiatives through influence is a plus
- Self-starter with strong commercial instincts and enthusiasm for innovation in programmatic and outcome-based advertising.
Compensation:
$135,000–$165,000 base salary plus performance bonus and benefits. Final salary determined
by relevant experience and demonstrated expertise.
