About The Role This internship is part of the Rising TIDE program. Elsevier created its Rising TIDE internship program to foster inclusion and provide individuals with work experience in the corporate world so that we can develop a pipeline of talent for entry-level individuals for post-graduation opportunities.
The Elsevier Data & Content organization designs, builds, and delivers high-quality datasets and AI-driven solutions that power Elsevier’s products and support its customers. We focus on advancing data engineering and AI capabilities, driving innovation, and building efficient, scalable systems that serve research, health, and science communities globally. We are seeking an AI & Data Engineering Intern to join the Elsevier Data & Content team and help us enhance and extend our AI and Data Engineering capabilities. This internship will enable you to learn how AI and Data Engineering operate at scale across a large enterprise. You’ll contribute to extending and improving data pipelines, AI‑driven workflows, and analytics capabilities that support various teams across Elsevier. You will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand goals, data workflows, and platform enhancements.
Location: This is a remote or home-based role, open to various locations in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.
Program Dates: June 1, 2026- August 7, 2026
Eligibility: Undergraduate or graduate students expected to graduate by May 2027.

Salary Range $28/hour for undergraduate students
