About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional, enterprising lawyer to join our growing global legal team. This role will be the organization’s leader on employment law matters in the United States and Europe while also supporting broader compliance initiatives across the company.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance Legal, this attorney will serve as a key advisor to internal stakeholders on employment-related issues, helping the company scale responsibly as it expands its global workforce. The role will involve close collaboration with HR, Talent, and business leaders to address employment law questions, manage risk, and develop scalable policies and practices.

The ideal candidate is a practical, business-oriented attorney who enjoys solving complex employment issues in a fast-moving environment. In addition to core employment work, this person will have the opportunity to contribute to broader compliance initiatives and help shape how the company approaches workforce-related legal and regulatory issues globally.

Key Responsibilities

Advise internal stakeholders on U.S. employment law issues, including hiring, performance management, employee relations, discipline, and terminations.
Support employment-related legal matters in Europe, including coordinating with local counsel and helping internal teams navigate jurisdiction-specific requirements.
Partner closely with HR and People Operations teams to develop and maintain employment policies, guidelines, and best practices.
Review and advise on employment-related documents, including offer letters, employment agreements, separation agreements, and contractor arrangements.
Provide guidance on employment aspects of workforce expansion into new jurisdictions.
Assist with internal investigations and sensitive employee relations matters.
Support the development and implementation of company-wide employment policies and compliance frameworks.
Monitor developments in employment law and help translate regulatory changes into practical guidance for the business.
Contribute to broader compliance initiatives affecting the company’s workforce and global operations.
Collaborate with legal colleagues across regions to ensure consistent and scalable approaches to employment risk management.

About You

J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
4+ years of legal experience with a significant focus on employment law.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment law.
Experience advising HR or People teams on day-to-day employment issues.
Experience managing employment matters across multiple jurisdictions or working with international employment counsel.
Strong judgment and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse range of employment matters.

Preferred

Experience advising on employment law issues in Europe or supporting European workforce operations.
In-house experience at a high-growth company.
