The Key Account Director (KAD) oversees strategic client partnerships within the U.S. market. This position holds direct responsibility for revenue, cultivates executive-level relationships, and fosters account expansion through trusted collaboration, business acumen, and effective teamwork with delivery teams.
RequirementsPrimary Responsibilities
Serve as the senior point of contact to manage and expand relationships with designated key clients
Formulate and implement account strategies aimed at meeting an annual revenue goal of USD 3-5 million across the client portfolio
Identify and capitalize on opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling aligned with client requirements
Collaborate closely with Delivery Directors, project managers, and technical teams to ensure client satisfaction and strategic alignment
Act as the primary escalation contact for issues, resolving them efficiently and effectively
Lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) and conduct regular client check-ins
Monitor market trends and deliver valuable insights to clients and InApp leadership
Negotiate contract renewals, agreements, and commercial terms
Provide senior management with reports on account performance, pipeline status, and forecasts
Work alongside sales and marketing teams to strengthen and expand the company's presence within client organizations
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. An MBA is preferable but not mandatory
Over 12 years of experience in IT services or consulting, including a minimum of 5 years in enterprise account management or strategic sales
Proven track record of achieving or surpassing multi-million-dollar revenue objectives
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and establish relationships at an executive level
Experience managing major accounts within sectors such as manufacturing, construction, financial services, or technology
Familiarity with IT service offerings, including custom software development, cloud services, digital transformation, and AI/data solutions
Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, able to manage detailed tasks while maintaining focus on overall business goals
Comfortable working within cross-cultural teams in a global environment
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20-30% of the time
