About the Role
The Program Manager – R&M will own the end-to-end operational health of our vehicle repair and maintenance ecosystem across all cities. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of data, field operations, and people management — requiring someone who can drive structured programs, influence without authority, and translate ground-level insights into measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Fault Rate Management
- Track and analyze daily fault rates at the city, part, and cluster level, identifying trends and root causes for recurring failures.
- Partner closely with R&M leads in each city to design and execute targeted action plans that drive sustained reduction in fault rates.
- Build and maintain reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility to relevant stakeholders.
Mechanic Productivity & Workforce Performance
- Monitor mechanic productivity on a daily basis across cities and workshops, with granular visibility into day vs. night shifts and new vs. experienced mechanic cohorts.
- Collaborate with R&M leads, workshop in-charges, and senior mechanics to identify performance gaps and drive structured improvement initiatives.
- Develop benchmarks and productivity standards, and create feedback loops that accelerate skill development among newer mechanics.
Quality SOP Enforcement
- Drive enforcement of quality SOPs across all critical repair categories — including brake systems, suspensions, battery buckets, and other part repairs.
- Conduct and coordinate regular audits and checks with R&M leads, workshop in-charges, and senior mechanics to ensure SOP adherence.
- Lead structured review discussions to surface SOP gaps, update standards based on field learnings, and institutionalize best practices across the network.
MTTF (Mean Time to Failure) Improvement
- Track MTTF at the city level on a weekly and monthly basis, building trend analyses that inform targeted R&M interventions.
- Work with R&M leads and workshop in-charges to diagnose failure patterns, prioritize high-impact fixes, and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives over time.
Resource Planning & Infrastructure Management
- Coordinate with R&M leads and city heads to ensure the right staffing levels across all workshops — including proactive planning for attritions and ramp-ups.
- Oversee the availability, adequacy, and audit of critical workshop infrastructure, including bike lifts and repair tools.
- Anticipate resource bottlenecks and work cross-functionally to resolve them before they impact operations.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, program management, or fleet/automotive maintenance — preferably in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
- Prior experience working with field teams and managing cross-city programs is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with daily operational data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — comfortable influencing R&M leads, workshop in-charges, city heads, and senior mechanics.
- Structured problem-solving approach with a bias for execution and follow-through.
- Familiarity with maintenance operations, vehicle systems, or manufacturing SOPs is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with dashboards or BI tools is an advantage.
Attributes
- High ownership and accountability — this role directly impacts fleet uptime and customer experience.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with multiple competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills — able to engage credibly with both field teams and senior leadership.
