Product Strategist (Platform Automation), Portfolio Management Group, Analyst

Overview About this role BlackRock’s Fundamental Equities (FE) business is a key division within the firm’s Portfolio Management Group (PMG), managing over $250bn across 70+ actively-managed equity strategies. The FE Product Strategy Platform Team enables our global Product Strategists to operate as a cohesive platform by driving workflow innovation, data insights, and process automation.

We are seeking a Business Analyst who combines analytical thinking, project execution and hands-on technical skills. The ideal candidate is versatile, detail-oriented, and comfortable with both coding/ automation and multi-stakeholder project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to platform-wide initiatives across sales enablement, business strategy, and technology—supporting FE Platform Strategy’s pillars of Commercial Enablement, Tech & Automation, Strategy & Innovation, and Platform Messaging.
• Maintain and enhance reports and dashboards (Morningstar, eVestment, FactSet, Power BI) for management and performance tracking.
• Assist with business intelligence and analytics, consolidating data and insights to inform platform decisions and executive communications.
• Support workflow and automation projects, helping identify process improvements and develop scalable tools that enhance team productivity.
• Execute and coordinate cross-functional projects by partnering with Product Strategists, Fundamental Equities leadership, and partner teams to deliver high-quality outputs on time.

You Should Have

• 1–3 years of professional experience
• Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) and/or Python, with the ability to use these tools to streamline workflows and improve business outcomes — a major plus for this role.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic mindset, with the ability to connect analytical insights to business priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; analytical and data management skills are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and comfort managing multiple priorities.
• A proactive attitude and desire to learn about investment management and technology.
