Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Governance & Performance Management
- Establish and maintain vendor governance frameworks and operating models.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, including
QBRs / MBRs
.
- Track SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics, ensuring compliance and performance.
- Lead issue escalation, service improvement plans, and corrective actions.
2. Contract & Commercial Management
- Support contract creation, negotiation, renewals, and amendments.
- Monitor contract compliance and ensure vendors adhere to agreed terms.
- Work with Procurement and Legal on commercial discussions and risk mitigation.
- Identify cost‑optimisation opportunities and manage spend transparency.
3. Relationship Management
- Act as the primary operational contact for vendor interactions.
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers to improve collaboration.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and vendors.
4. Risk, Compliance & Audit
- Ensure vendors meet internal governance, audit, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Monitor vendor risks (financial, operational, cyber, regulatory).
- Maintain vendor risk assessments and due‑diligence documentation.
- Support internal and external audits with vendor‑related evidence and reports.
5. Service Transition & Onboarding
- Support vendor onboarding, including compliance checks, contract setup, and performance frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams on service transition from project to BAU.
- Ensure vendors are fully integrated into organisational processes.
6. Reporting & Analytics
- Produce dashboards and reports on vendor performance, risks, spend, and compliance.
- Analyse trends to proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Present insights to senior leaders and governance forums.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Drive process automation and standardisation within vendor management.
- Identify ways to enhance service delivery, reduce cost, and improve quality.
- Benchmark against best practices and introduce improvements.
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
Strong understanding of vendor governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
Contract management and procurement process knowledge.
Performance management, SLA/KPI design, and reporting.
Experience with vendor risk assessments and compliance frameworks.
