What To Expect The Drug & Alcohol Program Specialist will contribute to the ongoing success and implementation of Tesla’s Substance Abuse and Testing Policy. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day case management and coordination of testing and program needs. The role will be cross-functional in nature and the candidate must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment with flexible shifts. The ideal candidate will serve as an internal resource for inquiries regarding the substance abuse program and an external resource to third party vendors and customers.
Role will sit onsite in Fremont, CA and travel in-state 15-25% each month. This position will require consistent midday shifts and occasionally flexibility to different shifts based on business needs.
What You'll Do
Oversee the daily coordination of drug and alcohol testing for multiple sites by making timely notifications to management and 3rd party vendors
Coordinate drug and alcohol testing by providing escorts of employees by both foot and vehicle
Accurately maintain and monitor record keeping systems for drug and alcohol related events and incidents
Prepare reports and audits on a weekly basis and pivot to other projects as needed
Lead recurrent trainings for both new hires, employees, and supervisors to promote education and increase awareness of the drug and alcohol program
Liaison with third party vendors and Medical Review Officers (MROs) providing guidance and responses aligned with internal policies and processes
Serve as an internal subject matter expert providing guidance and interpretation of Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies to employees, leaders, and other internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Familiar with the administration and enforcement of safety, security, and or substance abuse policies
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Experience and ability to work within the manufacturing/production environment, handling high volume, complex case management
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including effective presentation skills
Valid driver's license required to be able to operate assigned fleet
Ability to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hour shifts

Expected Compensation
$88,000 - $132,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
