As a Drive Qualification Engineer, you will work as part of a team responsible for all phases of drive qualification and release. As part of the drive team, the overall focus of the group is on timely and accurate testing and certification of the NetApp storage products. This position is responsible for engaging with external and internal resources and driving the execution of drive certification and testing.
This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, a quick learner and driven to produce results.
Essential Functions:
Creating/reviewing/writing test procedures for storage system products.
Applying current skills to plan system level testing as part of the development cycle including:
Working on the environmental test planning for products through the product life.
Problem solving issues during test and product release.
Documenting/coordinating test schedules with external resources.
Reviewing partner or Supplier test plans.
Work closely with the tool engineers to define test requirements of program.
Define debug efforts for root cause in the event of a field failure.
As part of a team, you will participate in technical discussions where evaluating test plans for products are reviewed.
A willingness to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will positively contribute toward team, department, and company goals.

The types of tasks this individual is responsible for are a mix of structured and unstructured tasks.
This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.
This individual will coordinate the people and resources required to meet the project test and certification requirements as defined by NetApp HW Engineers
Interaction:
You will interact primarily with your direct manager and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required.
General direction is provided on routine work, and detailed direction is provided on new projects and assignments, as well as on-going review of activities and priorities.
The ideal candidate works under the direction of another team member or project leader in a team role and will be an important contributor to team projects.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; or equivalent experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical tasks.
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position: $27-$30/hour
