Job Summary
As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team, designing and delivering technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way, designing and delivering technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will enhance software components and gain valuable experience to support your career growth.
Job Responsibilities
Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for applications and systems
Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language
Design, develop, and troubleshoot with consideration for upstream and downstream technical implications
Apply tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation and value
Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to support secure, stable application development
Learn and apply system processes and methodologies for developing secure, stable code and systems
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages
Ability to code in Java, Scala, or Python
Experience with Big Data and Apache Spark
Experience in cloud data processing on AWS EMR
Experience as a data engineer on Databricks
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Familiarity with feature engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
Exposure to modern front-end technologies
Experience with cloud technologies
Emerging knowledge of technical processes within a technical discipline
