Your Role And Responsibilities
Full Stack Developers designs and build cloud‑native applications across both front‑end and back‑end components. The role includes creating modern user interfaces, developing scalable microservices, working with event‑driven architectures, and deploying solutions on AWS or Azure. Depending on experience, responsibilities may include delivering features, coordinating development work, or owning key technical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop full‑stack cloud‑native applications using microservices, APIs, and modern UI frameworks.
- Build front‑end applications using React or Angular (SPA or microfrontends).
- Develop scalable back‑end services following 12‑factor principles and event‑driven patterns through Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Design Relational SQL and NoSQL data models for cloud‑hosted applications.
- Build applications using languages such as Java, .NET, Node.js, or Python.
- Deploy and manage containerised or serverless workloads using AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Work with event‑driven tools such as Kafka and cloud messaging services.
- Apply cloud‑native CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and Test‑Driven Development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support high‑quality delivery across the stack.
- Depending on experience, guide other developers or lead technical components.

Key Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, React, and modern DevOps practices
- Proven ability to deliver back‑end services using microservices architectures and API‑driven design
- Skilled in relational (SQL) and NoSQL data modelling and database design
- Proficient with cloud‑native runtimes including Java, .NET, Node.js, and Python
- Experience building applications using Spring Boot or other contemporary frameworks
- Familiar with event‑driven architectures, including Kafka and cloud messaging technologies
- Practical knowledge of AWS or Azure services across compute, storage, networking/routing, and databases
- Strong experience with containerisation (Docker), Kubernetes, and serverless architectures
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and Git‑based automation workflows
- Committed to quality through Test‑Driven Development (TDD)
- Excellent problem‑solving, collaborative working style, and strong communication skills
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
