Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Scrum Master
to lead agile delivery for product development teams. This role is central to enabling high-performing teams that deliver innovative, customer-centric products efficiently and predictably. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, ensure
Rally/Jira hygiene
, and build
insightful dashboards
to track performance and delivery health. The ideal candidate will balance servant leadership with strong delivery discipline, data-driven decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scrum Leadership & Team Enablement
- Serve as a
servant leader
and agile coach for 1–2 cross-functional product development teams.
- Facilitate all
Scrum ceremonies
(Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective) to ensure effective collaboration and outcomes.
- Empower teams to self-organize, maintain focus on sprint goals, and continuously improve delivery velocity and quality.
- Identify and remove impediments impacting sprint execution and proactively manage risks and dependencies.
2. Agile Governance & Tool Hygiene
- Maintain clean, consistent, and up-to-date
Rally and Jira
boards.
- Ensure stories, tasks, defects, and epics reflect current status and align with product roadmap priorities.
- Establish best practices for backlog refinement, sprint planning, and workflow visibility.
- Champion standardized usage of fields, workflows, and reporting across teams to ensure enterprise-level consistency.
3. Delivery Metrics & Dashboard Management
- Design and maintain
Agile dashboards and reports
to visualize progress, sprint health, and team performance.
- Track and communicate key metrics such as
velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, and predictability
.
- Leverage insights from Rally/Jira, Power BI, or similar tools to enable
data-driven delivery management
.
- Present metrics to leadership and product stakeholders to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
4. Product & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with
Product Owners
to refine backlogs, prioritize features, and ensure business value delivery.
- Align sprint commitments with
product roadmap milestones
and customer outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering, product, and design teams to enhance product quality and speed to market.
- Build trust and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
5. Continuous Improvement & Agile Coaching
- Coach teams and individuals on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and lean delivery mindset.
- Conduct
retrospectives
to identify improvement opportunities and implement actionable changes.
- Drive team maturity assessments to elevate agile adoption across the organization.
- Support scaling initiatives (e.g.,
SAFe
,
LeSS
, or custom frameworks) to enhance delivery at the product portfolio level.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience as a
Scrum Master
in a
product development environment
.
- Deep understanding of
Agile and Scrum
methodologies, frameworks, and scaling practices.
- Strong working knowledge of
Rally
and
Jira
, including dashboard setup, workflow management, and reporting.
- Proven experience managing
multiple sprints/releases
in parallel within product-focused teams.
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
,
Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with
Power BI, Tableau, or Rally/Jira dashboards
for analytics and reporting.
- Exposure to
DevOps practices
, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering workflows.
- Experience working in large-scale agile environments (SAFe)
