Strong Java/C#/Groovy coding, OOPS, design patterns, and framework architecture.
Proven experience creating and maintaining enterprise automation frameworks.
Practical expertise with Azure DevOps, pipelines, and integrations.
Solid SQL, DB testing, and data strategy.
Agile/CI/CD fluency; branching, versioning, and orchestration.
Defect tracking, analytics, and RCA; metric-driven decision making.
Experience designing test data management, environment strategy, and service virtualization.
The Test Automation Architect will drive enterprise automation strategy within the QE organization, establishing standards, frameworks, and governance that enable product teams to deliver high-quality releases at speed.
This leader blends deep hands-on expertise with architectural thinking, mentoring engineers, and partnering with delivery and DevOps to embed automation across UI, API, and data layers, ensuring measurable outcomes, scalability, and maintainability.
They will define KPIs and TCO to guide investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Define the automation vision, roadmap, and reference architecture aligned to business goals and SDLC/STLC. ·
Select, standardize, and rationalize tools (Selenium, Katalon, playwright, REST clients, DB utilities) and design reusable libraries, services, and accelerators. ·
Architect robust, modular frameworks in Java/C#/Groovy supporting UI, API, DB, contract, and component testing; enforce design patterns and code quality.
Establish governance, coding standards, quality gates, and metrics (coverage, stability, MTTR, ROI); publish dashboards in Azure DevOps
Integrate test automation into Agile workflows and CI/CD pipelines, enabling shift-left, nightly builds, and gated releases.
Lead framework evolution, scalability, and maintainability; perform reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive root-cause analysis.
Partners with developers, QA, and SRE to optimize test data, environments, mocks, and service virtualization for microservices/cloud.
Coach and upskill engineers; conduct workshops, playbooks, and communities of practice; support solutioning for programs.
Champion security, performance, and reliability considerations within automation and advocate for continuous improvement.
Salary Range: $38,000 - $110,000 a year
