JOB SUMMARY
The Social Copywriter is responsible for developing and writing original, platform-specific content for global creative initiatives, including product launches, product re-promotions, brand campaigns, and more. As part of the Global Copywriting team, this role collaborates closely with Social Art Directors, Video Art Directors, and the Marketing team to enhance social strategy and execution through strong concepts, engaging storytelling, and high-quality copywriting.
This role is dedicated exclusively to social ideation and writing, rather than content creation or production. The Social Copywriter applies a deep understanding of social culture and emerging trends to craft messaging that resonates globally. In a fast-paced creative environment, this position supports global brand-building efforts through thoughtful, impactful social content.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate original, social-first concepts and write copy for global organic and paid social media, including content intended for use by the sales team.
Collaborate closely with Social Art Directors and Video Art Directors to develop and execute social content that is culturally relevant, platform-specific, and aligned with global strategy.
Interpret global brand strategy, campaign goals, and product narratives into clear, compelling social messaging and executions.
Produce a variety of social deliverables, including captions, headlines, hooks, calls-to-action, overlays, scripts, and short-form storytelling.
Contribute to the ideation of global social campaigns, content strategies, and the ongoing evolution of social channels.
Ensure all copy aligns with established global brand voice and messaging guidelines.
Partner with cross-functional global teams (marketing, social strategy, opportunity and sales, legal, and regional stakeholders) to achieve business objectives and deadlines.
Present creative concepts and copy rationales to internal teams and leadership as needed.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
Incorporate and balance feedback from various stakeholders while maintaining flexibility and creative integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent command of English grammar and social-first writing, with the ability to adjust tone and messaging across different products, initiatives, platforms, and audiences
Strong understanding of global social platforms, trends, formats, and best practices
Ability to identify and use the most effective language to drive engagement and action across diverse social channels and markets
Conceptual thinker with the ability to ideate in close collaboration with visual creatives
Comfortable working within global brand systems and guidelines while advancing creative ideas
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to new tools, processes, and shifting priorities
Team-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Experience: 2+ years of copywriting experience, with a strong focus on social media ideation and writing. Global experience is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, or a related field.
