Position Overview
Agility Coaches at Autodesk partner with leaders and teams across engineering, product, design, data, and program functions to strengthen how work is planned, delivered, and continuously improved. Working with Director of Agile Engineering Transformation, you will act as a trusted advisor to directors, managers, and team leaders. You will help teams apply agile principles in practical, context-aware ways focusing on outcomes and sustainable improvement rather than rigid adherence to frameworks. This role works across multiple scrum teams and cross-functional groups to improve delivery effectiveness, strengthen operating models, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Roles And Responsibilities
Coach teams and leaders
- Coach engineering, product, design, and program teams in applying agile principles and practices that improve delivery outcomes
- Partner with directors, managers, and team leaders to strengthen agile leadership and team effectiveness
- Mentor Scrum Masters, delivery leads, and team facilitators to improve facilitation, planning, and team health
Improve operating models and delivery effectiveness
- Work across scrum teams and cross-functional squads to strengthen planning, prioritization, and execution
- Help teams clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision-making boundaries
- Identify systemic delivery challenges and partner with leaders to drive improvements
Drive data-informed continuous improvement
- Use delivery metrics, artifact quality, and observational insights to identify root causes impacting team performance
- Guide teams in interpreting signals from their data to support informed decision-making
- Facilitate retrospectives, learning loops, and improvement experiments that enable teams to evolve their ways of working
Support planning and alignment
- Partner with teams early in quarterly and longer-term planning cycles to align priorities and improve planning quality
- Help surface cross-team dependencies and delivery risks
- Support clear, actionable communication of delivery progress and status
Enable cross-functional collaboration
- Strengthen collaboration between engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders
- Bridge differences in language, expectations, and processes across teams
- Reinforce shared accountability for outcomes across functions

Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Agile Coaching or related
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Product Management, Program Management, Software Development Methods
- Experience with Data Science, Analytics and Research roles and responsibilities
- Ability to identify program/project/scrum team improvement needs (by role) and lead incremental improvements
- Ability to bring competing individuals and ideas together
- Partner with department heads, functional managers, and team leaders
- Serve 8-10 scrum teams in one or two domains
- Expert interpretation of Agility and SQE related metrics
- Advanced use of JIRA configuration and reporting
- Excellent skills in the curation of workshop materials, Confluence / Other
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile coaching certifications (Leading SAFe (SA), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC))
- Experience working in product-driven organizations with cross-functional teams
- Experience using delivery metrics and data to guide improvement
- Background in software engineering, product management, or program management
