Role
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD capabilities and automation centered on SonarQube, Artifactory, and Bitbucket, supporting reliable and efficient software delivery.
- Implement and enhance standard CI/CD workflows, integrating Bitbucket-based source control with build, quality scanning, and artifact publishing processes.
- Configure and maintain SonarQube scans and quality gates, Artifactory repositories, and pipeline integrations in alignment with established standards.
- Deliver assigned work end to end, including design, development, testing, deployment, configuration, and documentation.
- Contribute to shared pipeline components, templates, and automation used by multiple teams.
- Automate build and operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve consistency and reliability.
- Participate in technical design discussions, providing input on trade-offs related to quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Support integrations between CI/CD tooling and dependent systems, with a focus on developer usability and workflow efficiency.
- Participate in sprint planning, demos, and acceptance discussions with Product Owners and team members.
- Monitor and support the operational health of owned services and components, contributing to issue resolution and post-incident improvements.
- Follow and apply established engineering standards, patterns, and best practices for CI/CD and platform automation.
- Perform code reviews and pipeline reviews for peers, providing constructive feedback and ensuring quality and consistency.
- Continuously identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve automation, and reduce friction for developers.
- Actively participate in engineering guilds or communities of practice to learn, share knowledge, and adopt reusable patterns and practices.
All About You
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with increasing ownership of complex features or systems.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, automation, and modern software delivery practices.
- Hands-on experience working with SonarQube, Artifactory, and Bitbucket in real-world development or platform environments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, scripts, or automation used by development teams.
- Ability to own tasks from requirement through delivery, including testing and operational readiness.
- Working knowledge of code quality practices, static analysis, artifact management, and build pipelines.
- Comfortable following established standards and patterns while contributing ideas for improvement.
- Operational awareness, with experience supporting production systems and responding to issues when they arise.
- Strong focus on developer experience and understanding how tooling impacts day-to-day engineering work.
- Experience collaborating within Agile teams, participating in planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Ability to communicate clearly with peers, leads, and product partners on technical topics.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, or similar) commonly used for automation or platform development.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments and basic security and access control concepts.
- Exposure to containerized or ephemeral build environments used for CI/CD execution.
- Eagerness to learn, grow technically, and take on increasing responsibility over time.
