What this opportunity involves: JLL are excited to open applications for our 2026 Apprenticeship program. We are seeking an Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in Derby. This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in electrical servicing and repairs. The successful candidate will be provided with specialised training, which combines working towards an externally accredited and assessed NVQ qualification, developing new skills and gaining valuable experience whilst working on the job. On completion of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be a qualified Electrical Engineer, responsible for working towards excellent standards of quality and safety in all aspects of their work. Following a successful apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for the right individual to progress into a permanent role within JLL.
Responsibilities: Assist electrical engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment. Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions. Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and recommend process improvements.
Requirements: GCSE English (minimum grade 4) and Maths (minimum grade 5) There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Health and safety-conscious mindset.

Assessment: The recruitment Assessment will take place W/C 1st June 2026.
Apprenticeship : The course will be based onsite and at Burton & South Derbyshire College (Block release) from September 2026.
