The kindest thing you can do for a 6-year-old who achieved 99% is not round it up to 100%. If that philosophy strikes you as harsh, this role isn't for you. If it resonates, if you understand that children meet the expectations you set for them, this position was designed with you in mind.
Alpha is not a conventional school. Academic learning happens through adaptive software tailored to each student's level and pace. There are no classroom lectures. No identical worksheets distributed to 25 students. Instead, each child progresses through individualized learning applications while you—their Guide—support them through the challenging moments: maintaining focus when difficulty increases, working through frustration, and recognizing genuine mastery rather than mere completion.
Your day begins with motivation sessions: analyzing each student's progress in their learning applications, establishing daily objectives, and identifying the right approach for each child. That might mean a leaderboard competition, school currency incentives, or a one-on-one discussion about their potential. Afternoons transition to life skills workshops where you facilitate hands-on, project-based activities teaching public speaking, concentration, and feedback skills. You'll administer mastery-based assessments (Test2Pass) where students demonstrate true internalization of each skill, not just attendance. Throughout, you're guiding emotional regulation, resilience, and problem-solving with consistent structure paired with genuine care.
Guides who excel here advance to Lead Guide positions, mentoring Guide teams while maintaining direct work with their own student cohort. The progression from "I transformed these 15 students' trajectories" to "I'm developing the team that impacts hundreds" is tangible and achievable. If traditional education never appealed to you but you believe the years between ages 4 and 7 determine everything that comes after—apply.
